J onathan H yman is a metal sculptor who has 37 years experience sculpting, with or without specifications. He is fourth generation Marin County resident with his first grandchild recently arrived! From a family of academics, he brought the light and depth of art into his family and then his community. His perspective on life and relationships is deeply provocative.
His latest work, "Sisyphus", is a brilliant, emotional work that captures the essence of struggle vs. freedom in a contemporary study of form and function. When he creates, he opens our view to new dimensions with his geometry and interplay of lines combining with the intensity of his metal work.
His wildly admired "Yin Yang Gate" can be created for estates or commercial locations. Working with various types of metal, he is a true tigster! He even gets copper to relax on steel! The polished effect is exquisite.
